BEND PET PHOTOGRAPHY

Known to enjoy 300 days of sunshine each year, Bend in Oregon is considered the outdoor adventurer’s playground - for both people and their dogs. In fact, it’s not uncommon to spot pups on paddle boards or dogs backpacking in the Cascades. 

In 2023, Taneya Hayden joined professional photographers around the globe to make a difference for pets in need with 'Tails of the World'. This unique collaborative project celebrates dogs with an annual coffee table book and our latest volume has raised over $65,000 for animal rescue!

Taneya raised US$450 for Silver Linings Rescue Ranch with photoshoots at two awesome Bend locations: Smith Rock and Dillon Falls.

Smith Rock is an iconic feature of central Oregon, with towers of volcanic ash that rise like spires of a cathedral out of the desert sage and dust. Along your trip through the canyon, you might see golden eagles, prairie falcons, mule deer, river otter and beaver.

Dillon Falls is a beautiful, rugged way to explore the Deschutes River with trails that wind along the river, through desert brush and around lava rock.

Rocket

Rocket, named after Rocket Racoon (Guardians of the Galaxy), was born on the streets of Chetumal, Mexico, and now lives an incredibly spoiled and cushy life in Bend, Oregon. Rocket is a smart, goofy, handsome, incredibly affectionate boy who sometimes seems more human than dog. He'll do anything for snuggles and puppy treats, and lives up to his “Rocket” name when he gets the zoomies!

Rosie

Rosie is a 4 month old female tri mini-aussie that is often mistaken for a Burmese Mountain dog. Rosie is full of energy and love. She loves people and other dogs, especially fellow aussies. She loves to play and freely gives kisses to anyone she meets. For Rosie, it is all about love and kisses.

Buddy

Buddy loves walks more than anything well, other than food and his dad. He is like a bottomless pit and he loves his dad so so so much. He’s our baby but he is very moody and on his terms. He is a sweetheart with a 'tude.

Havok

Havok is a 2 yr old Belgian Malinois that enjoys all kinds of adventures - hiking, snowshoeing, swimming, etc. She also participates in bite work, protection work, dock diving, and fastCAT. She’s full of energy, stubborn, sassy, and sweet.

Stanley

Stanley is smart, loyal!!, athletic and loving. An unassuming athlete who loves all things outdoors … except bugs (he can't catch) and loud sounds. We do everything together - Hiking, biking, paddle boarding, agility, anything outside really.

Loki

Loki is a pure-bred Pembrook Welsh Corgi. He is almost 6 years old. Loki came from Russia originally to be a breeding dog, but wasn't successful at his job, so needed to be a family pet.. Loki is friendly with all dogs, but really loves being with people. He's a BIG boy for a Corgi and we call him Long Boy. His favorite activities are following Dad around while working on our property, and most especially, chasing lizards!

Chuck

Chuck lives for cuddling and Love. He also likes swimming, hiking, and cleaning the kitchen floor of any food scraps. Most of all, he just loves to be loved on.

Roan

Roan is a 2 year old female Husky/Shepherd/Malamute mix. She and her siblings were born on the streets of Houston, TX. Her mom and family were rescued and spent time in Texas healing from mange and getting healthy enough to fly to Husky House in New Jersey. Roan came to parents as a foster and they quickly foster failed with her. Bryn and Roan are bestest of friends who spend their days running around the yard and snuggling together.

Bryn

2 year old female Corgi. At 4- 5 months old, Bryn was tied up a fence in Philadelphia with a note saying to take her to the shelter or she would be turned out on the streets. She went into foster with a family who had older Corgi's but the older dogs didn't appreciate a crazy puppy so her mom applied to adopt her. Bryn and Roan are bestest of friends who spend their days running around the yard and snuggling together

Bailey

Bailey is a 14 year old Italian Greyhound/Miniature Pinscher mix. He loves attention and treats and absolutely loves going to Home Depot. He's still very agile and loves to explore and scramble over large rocks. He will do anything for a piece of crispy lettuce!

With over 14 years of experience, Taneya has been working professionally as a pet photographer since 2021. She has spent the last 3 years helping members of her community create personalized artwork of their furry family members. Specializing in Dog Photography, Taneya finds ways to combine choice of location, poses, and editing style to capture each dog's personality as accurately as possible. She finds inspiration in her family: their dog, Bailey, and their two cats, Rudy & Blue. Her work is dedicated to her husband, Sam, who has been her biggest support and the reason she's doing this crazy thing called dog photography.
