MELBOURNE DOG PHOTOGRAPHY

Here’s one that put a smile on this author’s face - from my very own hometown of Melbourne! Paul Tadday did a wonderful job photographing dogs around the colourful landmarks of our city - from the historic Royal Exhibition Building, to the banks of the Yarra River, to the bustling city centre at Fed Square and Flinders Street.

Paul raised $1000 for Arctic Rescue Victoria, a small group of volunteers dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of Arctic breeds. You’ll even spot a few of those furry giants in his photoshoots.

Juno Carlton Gardens in Melbourne

Autumn is in full swing in Melbourne and Juno the Alaskan Malamute had a great time watching the leaves falling around her. Carlton Gardens is home to Melbourne's historic Royal Exhibition Building, Melbourne Museum and IMAX. Located approximately a kilometre from Melbourne's CBD and accessible by tram, Carlton Gardens is a must see for visitors to Melbourne.

Titan Federation Square

He might be a little fella in size, but Titan the Alaskan Klee Kai is definitely a god amongst men (and doggies) when it comes to personality. Titan's home is in Melbourne's CBD so it was not at all a surprise to learn that he considers this town to be his very own backyard!

Juno

Bruno

Young Bruno may only be a puppy, but his instincts around water are already well established. Someone just needs to remind him that rowing isn't normally a skillset required of a German Shorthaired Pointer.

Billy

This was Billy's second session with me in a year. He's now grown from a clumsy young Golden Retriever pup unsure of his footing, to a very handsome and confident boy. In fact, he's so well-behaved he was definitely "The Golden Boy" during his city photo session.

Cooma

A very confident and well-trained young Husky, Cooma visited all the popular tourist locations during his photo session in Melbourne.

Presley

Elvis may have been King, but Presley the Shih Tzu RULZ! Here he is is strutting his stuff on a perfect autumn day around Melbourne's Birrarung Marr.

Lola

This was Lola's very first time in the big city, and what an adventure it was! Such a shy girl, this beautiful Lagotto Romagnolo was completely exhausted after her visit to the big smoke!

Titan

Maggie

If there was a medal to be awarded for patience and obedience Maggie would be the number one recipient! A grand old dame with a heart of gold and nose for chimken!

Cesare

The Latin meaning of the name Cesare translates to "head of hair". And this young Lagotto Romagnolo certainly meets that definition... and then some! He could also be easily mistaken for his namesake, Cesare Borgia. He has a distinct air of intelligence, elegance and beauty... unless you have chicken. Then all bets are off.

Buddy

The Bracco Italiano is one of the oldest of the pointing breeds. A noble and royal breed if you don't mind. But someone forgot to tell young Buddy here that drooling could be considered slightly unbecoming for an aristocratic nobleman!
