NOVA SCOTIA DOG PHOTOGRAPHY

There is nowhere in Nova Scotia that is more than 60km from the sea. With endless shorelines, coastal towns and a thriving fishing industry, it is hardly surprisingly that water featured in all ten of the fundraising photoshoot locations by Born 2 Run Photography for the Tails of the World project. Photographer Desiree Nickerson raised $1000 for SMART Rescue, a group dedicated to helping Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes and Alaskan Huskies in need.

Chloe Blue Rocks, Nova Scotia

Chloe is a very sweet Border Collie. She has had quite a few photo shoots with me over the last year and even in her old age, she is always up for an adventure.

Cynic Blue Rocks, Nova Scotia

How can you not smile when you see this handsome guy come towards you? Cynic, the Alaskan Malamute pup, was such a giant fluffball during his session. He was 16 weeks old for his session and still growing in to his ears.

Daisie Petite Riviere, Nova Scotia

Daisie is a beautiful Border Collie who is a bit shy when she first meets people. She had so much fun during her session and just LOVED running through the ocean waves.

Fringe

Fringe is a border collie, whippet and staffy mix and she was chosen for a future in flyball. This precious puppy was full of spunk during her session in Rose Bay, Nova Scotia. Her brindle colours were just perfect for a beach location with some golden sunshine.

Charlie

Charlie is a Welsh Springer Spaniel pup and she is such a beautiful pup! She has been in front of the camera a couple times before this session and each time she gives me a wonderfully wide variety of faces and poses. She was photographed at Lahave River in Bridgewater, NS.

Dime & Bunny

Dime and Bunny are Alaskan Huskies and they are both retired sled dogs. They had all kinds of smiles as they ran through the sand of Lockport, Nova Scotia.

Dream & Wyatt

Dream and Wyatt are a couple of gorgeous Siberian Huskies! Dream is an alumni of SMART Rescue and is living an amazing life here on the east coast. These boys were all smiles and howls during their session in Petite Riviere, Nova Scotia.

Mags

Mags is a 6 month old border collie/retriever mix and she did so wonderful during her session at the beach in Petite Riviere, Nova Scotia.

From posing on the trail to running through the beach and waves, she did everything with such poise, but she was all smiles the moment her ball was tossed.

Prudence

Prudence is an 8 month old Australian Shepherd and she was the perfect model as we walked through the town of Lunenburg. From the Lunenburg Academy to the brightly coloured storefronts, and finally the harbour, Pru had a blast exploring this quaint little town during her session.

Wren

Wren is a beautiful border collie and she has the intensity and focus that is very common with this breed. She had a great time running through the forest and posing on the rocks at the beach in Petite Riviere, Nova Scotia.

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER

From as far back as I can remember, I have always been drawn to dogs. This passion has continued to grow over the years, so it was only natural to combine this with my love of photography.

At Born 2 Run Photography, I believe there's nothing more precious than the bond that we share with our dogs, and I strive to help owners create beautiful memories that they will cherish for a lifetime. My portrait sessions are done across a variety of locations in beautiful Nova Scotia, and I just love capturing images of each dog's unique personality, character, and smiles.
