ALBERTA DOG PHOTOGRAPHY

In 2022, Shaleena Higgins joined professional pet photographers around the world to make a difference for pets in need with the Tails of the World project. She raised $1000 for Bandaged Paws Animal Rescue by photographing ten gorgeous dogs at Muskoseepi Park in the heart of Grande Prairie city.

Muskoseepi Park contains various trails, ponds, wildlife and plenty family activities (including a water park, skate park and playgrounds). April in Alberta still feels the brisk cold of winter, with the snow not yet fully melted. Shaleena’s moody photographs capture this season beautifully; dramatic skies, brown prairie grasses and low winter sun.

Shaleena Higgins is a featured photographer in Tails of the World: The Book. You can follow Shaleena’s dog photography adventures on Instagram, and be sure to check out the Give a Dog a Bone Photography website to learn more.

Purchase your copy of the Tails of the World Book, and enjoy more dog photography and stories from around the globe. 100% of the proceeds of this book go to Second Chance Animal Rescue Inc.

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER

I am based in Grande Prairie, Alberta and have been photographing dogs for about 9 years now. I have three amazing dogs of my own and often get referred to as the crazy dog lady.

I strive to create artwork my clients are proud to display in their home. My favorite sessions my dog mom shoots where we focus on capturing the love and bond between human and canine.
